What if there are meigas in Galicia? Of course! And be careful, good and bad ones.
That is why O Forno de Catuxa has iron and stone crosses , protective symbols against the evil eye… Just in case… And it is that the ancestors of the place said that in the village lived a bad and envious witch who wandered the roads during the night, covered with a black toquilla, invoking evil beings and causing misfortunes to her neighbors: death of animals, ruin of crops… According to that legend, there are still living descendants of that witch although fortunately they no longer live here… And since there are any, we claim and share with you that rich intangible heritage that permeates everything.
In O Forno de Catuxa you can visit lively forests, where mythological beings live. And perhaps you can sense the brilliance of the Holy Company crossing the thick forest in the middle of the night…
Do you dare? Because we want to share with you the ancestral traditions of this land. Those that have forged our character for centuries and make us what we are.
