Activities

Culture and heritage, wherever you look

One important thing: we are 7 km from Lugo, a Roman city, with a majestic wall that is a World Heritage Site.
The Camino de Santiago Primitivo passes through here and the others: French, North and Winter, cross the province from north to south.
There is art and history wherever you go.

Here Lucus burns, we celebrate San Froilán, there is nocturnal adoration, tapas and beers of death and restaurants to dip bread…

In a few minutes you will be in the centre of Lugo but also in the middle of nature, Red Natura, Terras do Miño Biosphere Reserve… routes and walks for relaxation, enjoyment or to sweat your shirt, near or far from the Miño River.
As and when you feel like it.

We will inform you or, if you give us time, we will organize the visits, as you prefer.

The cAtUXa Route

The Catuxa route, a delightful 4 km route along a sublime landscape.
Everything explained and photographed in detail, so that you know the flora and fauna of the place.
This excellent work has been done by our friend Víctor García, who has mixed technical expertise and generosity with an amazing result.

You can download the route in several formats:

(If it does not download, right-click and “Save Link As”)

PICKING THE APPLES

We have a orchard full of native apple trees. When the time comes, you will be able to participate in the cider making process. From start to finish.

VILLAGE BREAD

On request you can make Galician bread in the traditional style.

FOREST BATHING

To release stress and charge yourself with positive energy, you can walk through the oaks of Catuxa, walk on the leaves and hug centenary trees that will share their good vibrations with you.

NIGHT OF SAN JUAN

On the night of June 23 we celebrate the summer solstice in the Galician style: we invoke the meigas, jump the bonfire and drink queimada while listening to the magic spell.

THE HOLY COMPANY AND OTHER LEGENDS

Upon request we will get to know the Galician legends.
One of the most suggestive is that of the Santa Compaña, a procession of souls that leaves after midnight…

VISIT TO THE CHURCH OF SANTALLA DE ESPERANTE

If you are interested in art, you can take a private visit to this unique church, with very significant pre-Christian and Roman elements, an omen that the Camino de Santiago would later pass through here.

WORK IN THE GARDEN

If you want to sow or harvest, you have an organic vegetable garden and greenhouse at your disposal.

TRADITIONAL COOKING WORKSHOPS

On request, we can organize a traditional Galician cooking workshop, so that you can enjoy it before and after.
